Tech Information Center Top Attraction at Ohio Deer & Turkey Event
In only two years, the Tech Information Center has become the Number One attraction at the Ohio Deer & Turkey Expo. "That's because most people today like to get their information live and in color, face to face, immediately," notes Glenn Helgeland, producer of this 20th annual expo for Buckeye buck hunters.
The expo will be March 16th through 18th at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus.
A hot topic -- Calling & Hunting Midwestern Predators -- is new this year. . It's hot because coyote, bobcat and other predator populations are growing, and they prey significantly on deer fawns.
Predator-hunting expert Mike Brust is the go-to guy to get your questions answered. Brust is a Wisconsinbased caller/hunter who's been doing it for fifty years.
Other Tech Info Center outdoor experts will answer your questions on archery, shotguns, muzzleloaders, hunting clothes, footwear, binoculars and scopes, food plots, plus general deer and turkey hunting. Nationally-known outdoor writers will staff all tables in the Tech Info Center. The center will be well marked and easy to find on the exhibit floor.

Turkey Calling, Owl Hooting State Contest at Deer & Turkey Expo
If you know how to gobble, cluck and purr, you might be a good candidate to enter the Ohio State Turkey Calling and Owl Hooting Championship March 17 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus. The championship will take place during the 20th annual Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo sponsored by Remington. The event was formerly known as the Ohio Deer & Turkey Expo, March 16th through 18th. The calling contest is sanctioned by the National Wild Turkey Federation. It will be conducted by members of the Ohio Chapter of the NWTF.
Sign up Friday afternoon, March 16th, at the Ohio NWTF booth in the Bricker Building, site of the deer and turkey expo, or 8:00 am to 9:30 am Saturday, March 17th, in the DiSalle Building where the contest will be held.

450 Buckeye Big Bucks Expected for Trophy Deer Contest at Deer & Turkey Expo, Columbus
Ohio has a national reputation for growing big-antlered whitetail deer ... and you can see many of them at the Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo in Columbus March 16th through 18th. Nearly four hundred fifty big bucks are expected to be entered in the Expo's trophy contest.
The event, formerly titled the Ohio Deer & Turkey Expo, returns to the Ohio Expo Center for its 20th year. All antler measuring and scoring is done by members of the Buckeye Big Buck Club.
Trophies are accepted from noon Friday to 10 am Sunday. The expo is now owned by Field & Stream magazine and has been renamed, quite understandably, the Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo presented by Remington. It is one of four such Midwestern expos Field & Stream bought late last year.

Byron Ferguson, Archery Trick Shot

Internationally-known archery trick shot Byron Ferguson returns to perform at the 2012 Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo / OHIO in Columbus. Ferguson will give two performances Saturday, March 17, and two performances Sunday, March 18. He does not perform Friday.
"Kids and adults alike enjoy him," said Glenn Helgeland, the Expo's executive director and producer. "He always has something new, and he gets kids involved in his finale."
Ferguson shoots wooden discs and pennies from the air, snuffs a candle with an arrow, shoots ricochet arrows into a target's bullseye, and bursts inflated balloons while shooting from all sorts of contorted positions. He also is a veteran bowhunter and has taken more than 200 whitetails, plus black bear, mule deer, moose and game birds with bow and arrow.

Show hours for the 20th annual Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo / OHIO are 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday, March 16; 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday, March 17, and 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday, March 18.
TICKET PRICES
• Adults tickets are $13 one-day and $21 two-day; military personnel tickets are $12 one-day and $19 two-day. Each of these four tickets is $2.00 less when you use the $2-off ticket discount coupon. • $10 for Hunter Safety Course graduates ages 12-18 who present proof of course completion at the ticket window (otherwise pay regular adult price).

A familiar event for Ohio hunters this time of year -- the Ohio Deer & Turkey Expo -- has a new name. It's now the Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo, presented by Remington. The expo will be March 16th through 18th at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus. This is the event's 20th year.
