"This is where products become real. Today’s sportsmen and women feel intensely about getting their hands on products, examining them, and even trying them out. Today’s customer also wants face-to-face interaction with the manufacturer, to get his/her questions answered quickly and to evaluate the company’s product line and reliability," notes Glenn Helgeland, expo producer and president of Target Communications.
"We have clean, quality, well-focused expos with first-class exhibitors, a weekend loaded with informative seminars and plenty of activities (hunting, shooting and natural history) for the entire family to enjoy," Helgeland said. "Plus, of course, the trophy deer contest and display, always a favorite."
Highlights in 2012 will be continued growth of the Women’s Hunting Apparel & Related Gear area, the Hunting Dogs & Puppies area, and the Tech Information Center (TIC), staffed by nationally known experts in archery, firearms, muzzleloaders, shotguns for deer, hunting clothing & footwear, food plots, deer hunting and turkey hunting ready to answer your questions. The T.I.C. is the most popular element at all four expos, Helgeland notes.
Byron Ferguson, world-renowned archery trick shot and accomplished bowhunter, will perform Saturday and Sunday at all four expos.
The four expos in 2011 drew attendees from 41 states and effectively reach 40 percent of the U.S. market. Attendance ranges from nearly 15,000 to 26,500 for the 2-1/2-day weekend events. Exhibit booth totals range from 250 to 590.

• Big-antlered bucks, like this one at the Illinois Deer & Turkey Classic in Peoria, get their pictures taken many times. The trophy deer contest display is impressive in two ways -- as individuals and collectively as a seemingly endless row of bone. |

• The Tech Info Center features experts in archery, firearms, muzzleloading, slug guns, clothing & footwear, food plots, deer hunting and turkey hunting, ready to answer your questions and give advice from their store of hunting and gear knowledge. This is a hugely popular feature at all expos. |
