Tech Information Center Top Attraction at Illinois Deer & Turkey Event
In only two years, the Tech Information Center has become the Number One attraction at the Illinois Deer & Turkey Expo. "That's because most people today like to get their information live and in color, face to face, immediately," notes Glenn Helgeland, producer of this 22nd annual expo for Illinois buck and gobbler hunters.
The expo will be March 23th through 25th at the Civic Center in Peoria, with a new name -- the Field & Strean Deer & Turkey Expo presented by Remington.
Outdoor experts will answer your questions on archery, shotguns, muzzleloaders, hunting clothes, footwear, binoculars and scopes and food plots, plus general deer and turkey hunting. Nationally-known outdoor writers will staff all tables in the Tech Info Center. The center will be well marked and easy to find on the exhibit floor.
The Deer & Turkey Expo has a new name because it and three other Midwestern deer and turkey expos were purchased recently by Bonnier Corp, parent company of Field & Stream and Outdoor Life magazines. "The Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo events are the largest and most comprehensive of their kind," said Jay Miller, Remington Brand Manager.. "The events attract thousands of passionate hunters. We're very appreciative of the opportunity and we're excited to be part of these must-attend events for sportsmen." In addition, Yamaha has signed on as the expo's 'Official ATV partner'.

Byron Ferguson, Archery Trick Shot
If your family wants to see an amazing archery performance, go to the upcoming Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo in Peoria and watch trick shot Byron Ferguson shoot pennies out of the air with bow and arrow.
The 22nd annual Deer & Turkey Expo, presented by Remington, had been titled the Illinois Deer & Turkey Classic until this year. It will be March 23rd through 25th at the Civic Center in Peoria. Ferguson will give two performances Saturday, March 24th and two Sunday, March 25th.
In addition to pennies, Ferguson shoots wooden discs and Lifesavers from the air, snuffs a candle with an arrow, shoots backward using a mirror to aim and bursts inflated balloons while shooting from all sorts of contorted positions. He also gets kids involved in an interesting finale.
The event is now owned by Bonnier Corp, parent company of Field & Stream and Outdoor Life magazines.

WHAT'S NEW 2012 at Deer & Turkey Expo
Two hot seminar topics highlight the upcoming Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo, formerly titled the Illinois Deer & Turkey Classic. The expo will be March 23rd through 25th at the Civic Center in Peoria.
The new seminars are on the use and evaluation of trail cameras to help you find more deer, and the use of tracking dogs to help you recover more wounded deer.
Trail cameras are a hugely popular and helpful scouting tool. Much has changed in the trail camera world and is still changing. Les Davenport of Clayton, Illinois, has put years of work into using and evaluating trail cameras. He will tell you the points you need to know to get most value when you buy, then he will show you how best to use them.
Blood-tracking dogs, their use and value to increased deer recovery, is a topic of swiftly growing interest across the country.
Regarding the event's new name, Expo producer Glenn Helgeland explained that the four Midwestern deer and turkey expos previously owned and produced by his company, Target Communications, in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin have been purchased by Field & Stream and Outdoor Life magazines. The expos have been renamed the Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expos, presented by Remington.

350 Big Bucks Expected for Trophy Deer Contest at Deer & Turkey Expo, Peoria
Illinois has a national reputation for growing big-antlered whitetail deer ... and you can see many of them at the Field & Stream Deer & Turkey Expo in Peoria March 23rd through 25th. Nearly three hundred fifty big bucks are expected to be entered in the Expo's trophy contest.
The event, formerly titled the Illinois Deer & Turkey Classic, returns to the Peoria Civic Center for its 22nd year. All antler measuring and scoring is done by certified Boone & Crockett, Pope & Young, or Illinois Big Buck measurers.
Trophies are accepted from noon Friday to 10 am Sunday. They can be from any Illinois deer hunting season.
