IMPORTANT DETAILS -- INSURANCE FORM COMPLETION
You MUST have liability insurance on your exhibit space. This insurance covers you on-site from set-up to tear-down. Here’s the procedure:
- Mandatory $55 insurance fee paid with booth fee.
- Options –
- Rider certificate on your own insurance policy, naming Target Communications as additional insured. This certificate is sent to our insurance agent. If approved by the insurance agent, you will be refunded $55 by our insurance agent after the expo. It's worth a call or email to ensure your insurance agent has sent your insurance certificate to Shoff Darby (203-445-2123, steeves@shoffdarby.com). When you contact them, they will tell you whether or not it is a correct, complete, valid certificate. Do this well in advance of submission deadline; this will give you time to make appropriate changes, if any are needed.
- Using the insurance provided by Target Communications. This policy is paid for by the $55 fee, and there is no refund.
SAMPLE INSURANCE FORM & CERTIFICATE FORM
- Liability Insurance SAMPLE FORM (with detailed instructions for completion). (Click here to download Insurance SAMPLE FORM.)
- A CERTIFICATE FORM for your insurance agent's use. (Click here to download Insurance CERTIFICATE FORM.) Some of the required information is in place, to make certificate completion easier. However, if your agent prefers to use his own certificate form, be sure the necessary information is COMPLETE, CORRECT and CURRENT.
WHERE TO SUBMIT YOUR CERTIFICATE:
- Shoff Darby Companies, Attn: Allison Steeves, 100 Technology Dr., Suite 200, Trumbull, CT 06611.
- Send by Fax: 203-268-0687 or Email: steeves@shoffdarby.com (Phone: 203-445-2123)
- Do NOT send the certificate to Target Communications.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR RIDER CERTIFICATE:
- Have your insurance agent send the completed certificate naming TCC as additional insured to Shoff Darby Companies (our insurance agent). The certificate must be complete, accurate and received before the deadline for the applicable expo.
DEADLINE: WHEN OUR INSURANCE AGENT MUST RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE
- Any time prior to 5:00 p.m. EASTERN TIME, the Wednesday prior to each expo. Certificate will not be accepted if received after that time; you will then be covered by the show insurance policy provided by Target Communications and there will be no refund.
CHECKLIST FOR YOUR INSURANCE AGENT TO FOLLOW:
- Include agent's business phone number.
- List your exhibiting name (if different from the company name on the insurance policy). If this information isn’t provided, and we have a question, we may not know who to contact, in which case you would get no refund.
CERTIFICATE APPROVAL / REJECTION
- Insurance certificate approval/rejection will come from Shoff Darby Companies. If there is a problem, a Shoff Darby representative will contact your insurance agent -- if Shoff Darby has the necessary contact and identification information. Have your agent call Shoff Darby (203-445-2123) if there are questions.
- REFUND TIMING -- Refunds will be mailed the first week after each expo to those who qualify. Shoff Darby issues a refund and sends it directly to you. There will be NO insurance certificates checked at any expo, and NO refunds made at any expo.
