Trophy Big Game Contest
There are four divisions of the Michigan Deer & Turkey Spectacular trophy big game contest -- whitetail deer, black bear, elk and wild turkey. All must have been taken in Michigan, any year.(There also is an out-of-state whitetail deer division.)
New in 2012: The Q1 Big Buck Pole Lansing awards program will be held at the Spectacular in conjunction with our trophy contest. You can enter both events for one fee. Awards for both events will be presented Sunday afternoon.
In the Michigan divisions of the Spectacular trophy contest, there are deer categories for typical and non-typical antlers in archery, muzzleloader and centerfire firearms divisions. The archery and firearms divisions also are divided into historical and current year brackets. There are archery and firearms (centerfire & muzzleloader) categories in black bear, elk and wild turkey divisions. Contest entry fee is $15; in return, you get a weekend pass.
